LETTER TO A MENTOR AND FRIEND, a post in 3 parts

I wrote this letter below to one of my mentors who’s also a dear friend. I’m so glad God brings people together to share in our struggles and rejoice in our victories. So this thought crossed my mind, “Hmm, this would probably make a good blog posting ;) It’s silly how my mind works sometimes. So I’m sharing with a dual purpose: One to help me get my thoughts out there, and two by sharing, maybe it’ll help someone see that no matter what life throws against us, If we’re trusting and believing in God, He’ll make it all work out for the good, Rom 8:28

Always remember this…The pain does have a purpose! In Him, Al

I was sharing with someone about some of the personal and constant struggles I’ve been experiencing with someone I’ve been friends with a long time. I told her how my friend and I been having a difficult time understanding and relating to each other. The two of us haven’t been connecting with each other and our frustrations with each other have been driving us further apart. In the long run, we have allowed our different personalities, temperaments, and life shaping experiences to govern the way we feel towards each other.

In the end, we mutually agreed to go our separate ways.

I wrote to my mentor and friend that I was upset and saddened by the amount of years and amount of time we wasted not doing what we should have been doing to make the relationship grow closer.

For me, this was another confirmation that not everyone will “get me,” you hear what I’m saying? Sometimes I forget that in life, when you think you’re getting fudge brownies life instead gives you liver and onions.

But, I guess, if people didn't understand or "get" Jesus, what makes me think it's going to be any easier with me?

At one of the churches I previously attended, I was eager to learn more about God and his ways.  … (this is the end of part 1 of my post, it’s rather long so I didn’t want to give it to you guys all at once. Please return back later for part 2)

prelude to my autobiography/testimony

HERE’S WHAT I CALL A SPIRITUAL FORTUNE COOKIE: IT’S A PROVERB WRAPPED INSIDE A POETIC MESSAGE SIN BINDS BODIES AND BLINDS TRUTH, BEGUILES BELIEF, AND BETRAYS TRUST. SIN A SLITHERING SERPENT THAT SLIDES THROUGH YOUR SOUL AND ENTANGLES YOUR EMOTIONS. SIN IS A STRANGLING SPIRIT, A DEMONIC DECEPTION THAT CRUSHES YOUR CONSCIOUS CONTROL. SIN SEEMS COMFORTING LIKE BEING WRAPPED IN A WARM BLANKET, BUT IS REALLY A CONTROLLING CLOAK THAT CAPTURES YOUR CONSCIOUSNESS. SIN IS A DEMONIC DECEPTION THAT MASTERS YOUR MIND AND MOTIVATES YOUR MOODS. RIGHTEOUSNESS DELIVERS FROM DEATH AND DESTROYS THE DECEIVER. RIGHTEOUSNESS LIBERATES FROM THE CAPTIVITY AND CONTROL OF THE POWERS OF PERDITION. RIGHTEOUSNESS VALIDATES VICTORY AND TEACHES TRUTHFULNESS AND TRUST. RIGHTEOUSNESS REDEEMS FROM THE CURSE AND REMOVES THE CANCEROUS CAUSE. RIGHTEOUSNESS REVEALS TRUTH AND TRIUMPHS OVER TORMENT. RIGHTEOUSNESS ILLUMINATES THE DARKNESSAND ENLIGHTENS THE DESPERATION. RIGHTEOUSNESS IS GOD CONSCIOUSNESS, IS MINDF...

HAVE YOU BEEN POISONED?

How you can tell when you’ve been poisoned . Your actions and attitudes are toxic ! Toxic thoughts lead to toxic actions. Toxic thinking poisons others around us. Eventually toxic thinking leads to death (dreams). Watch out that the toxics around you don’t get inside you . How do you counteract toxicity? Speaking, thinking and acting positive activates life in you, around you, and gives life (energy) to others.

THE VALUES OF SECOND-HAND REVELATION AND MINISTRY ASSOCIATIONS

Or another way of saying this... TO ALL THOSE “HATERS” OF MEGA-MINISTRY LEADERSHIP ;) We always need to constantly and consistently be receiving first-hand revelation from God. We all should also be developing a first-hand relationship with the LORD Himself. Both should first come by through reading and studying His Word. However, I’m also extremely thankful and grateful to God for the second hand revelation and ministry associations of 3 other ministers of the gospel. It was through them that I received a proper scriptural and spiritual foundational in my life and ministry. It was like attending Bible School. Those 3 people are: DR. CREFLO A. DOLLAR, JOYCE MEYER, and especially, DR. CHARLES STANLEY. When I first rededicated my life to Him and He baptized me in the Holy Ghost, His Spirit led me into a deeper understanding and relationship with Him. Then God did something that would be beneficial for me. God knew that I needed to be under some strong Biblical ministry leadership. He co...
